The Sintra forest, besides it´s beauty, it´s also known of being in fact, not one but several forests in one, where we can find local species mixed with others from all over the world, many of them, exotic. This huge variety of species as it´s origin in the mid-nineteenth century, the Romanticism movement golden period, by the hand of D. Fernando King.
In this very intimist hike we will cross 3 of this forests, each one very beautiful and peculiar. We also know a megalithic monument with more than 4.000 years and it´s terrific views.
After an impressive cedars forest we will find a medieval setting provided by the “Peninha“ shrine and the chapel of “St. Saturnino” with it´s 1000 years of history. From here, one of the highest points of the “Moon Mountain” (Sintra), about 500m high, the views are infinite.
It will be with the warm colors of late sunshine day, penetrating in the canopy of the trees, that we will approach to the end of this beautiful hike.Book Now Ask a Question
